Wood from a cargo ship that hit stormy water earlier on in the week has been washed on the shores of Kent. The cargo apparently still belongs to the original owner and Kent Police have warned that any attempts to remove any of what has been washed up to be treated as theft. Although they have stated the stipulations people have still gone down to the seaside and taken various bits of wood. Normally, people go down to the seaside at night and steal all the wood that is laying about. Though, now the UK Police have been called to keep an eye on all of wood and protect it from being stolen.
This is the second time that wood has washed up on the shores of a Sussex beach. At a very similar time last year, Worthing was subject to the same treatment as a cargo ship spilled out a load of wood that people took.
