It's great to have some nice wooden garden furniture in your garden, such as a wooden table and chair set, or even a picnic suite, but not all garden furniture is manufactured to the same quality. There's no point spending good money on garden furniture if it is going to need to be repaired or replaced after one years use.
If you want your wooden garden furniture to last you for years to come, then I would strongly suggest keep clear of any kind of flat pack furniture.
More often than not, this type of furniture is of very poor quality, it is mass produce out of inferior materials so the manufacturers can sell it cheaply.Flat pack furniture sends chills down my spine, it's so poorly constructed out of such inferior materials that it's just not going to last at all. There usually aren't any joints that would make the furniture more rigid, just bolts and screws.
Wooden garden furniture, especially if it's made from hardwood, that is contructed with proper mortice and tenon joints, will out last any flat pack furniture, and although it will be slightly more expensive to buy, it will work out cheaper in the long run as it won't need replacing or repairing for years.
It's great that this kind of wooden garden furniture is delivered right to your front door whole and already assembled, as it saves you alot of time and headaches
All types of wood naturally expand and contract during the different weather conditions, but if you buy wooden garden furniture that is made from hardwood, the elements won't effect it as much as hardwood is far more resistant to the elements than softwood. You don't actually even have to treat hardwood furniture but most people do just to keep the original color of the wood intact.
